We are the only active and thriving FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics program currently operating in Cherokee County. FIRST Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Design, build, and program robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams.
This season, our teams earned back-to-back titles as League and State Champions—an achievement that reflects the strength of our mentorship, and student dedication. We also extend our support to the Sequoyah High School robotics team. Beyond competitions, our students continue to excel academically, with participants being selected for the prestigious Georgia Governor’s Honors Program two years in a row—demonstrating the broader educational value and excellence fostered by our program.
Established in 2023 with students from Etowah, Walton, Kennesaw Mountain and Northwest Classical. United by a passion for robotics and innovation, these students collaborate across schools to compete, learn, and grow as future STEM leaders.

FTC 26481Launching Summer 2025, this new FTC team will bring together motivated students from the Cherokee County School District for a hands-on journey into robotics, innovation, and teamwork.
FTC ??????Over the past few years, many of our FIRST alumni have returned to take on mentorship roles for our teams. This has allowed us to implement a new model where our best and most experienced former participants “teach it forward.” As technical or college students with FIRST leadership experience, these mentors not only provide invaluable guidance but also benefit from an essential revenue stream that supports their personal growth. This model fosters mentorship, strengthens our teams, and provides alumni with meaningful professional development opportunities, while ensuring the sustainability of the program.
