Unlike traditional makerspaces, Cherokee Makerspace was originally founded as Firestorm Robotics. What began as a dedicated 501(c)(3) workshop for competitive youth robotics grew into a full community makerspace—built by builders, for the community. Today, our expanded mission gives makers, innovators, and students of all ages a place to craft, while Firestorm Robotics continues to thrive as our flagship youth program.
